Alerts allow you to set automatic emails when a predetermined criteria is met. This enables you to get notified automatically of issues or milestones without having to pull the reporting yourself.

Creating Alerts from a Visualization

Most visualizations will allow you to set Alerts based on the content within based on a measure and logical data value. Utilizing the bell icon in the upper right color of any visualization will open the Alerts menu.

The Alerts menu has 3 main parts, condition, where to send, and frequency. Each alert is customizable to the user and the user can add a variety of email addresses to receive the specific alert.

The Conditions section will allow you to select the measure you would like to set an alert on and which logic you would like to use. You can then fill out the value you would like in order to receive the alert. If you would like to receive an alert for any cancellation percentage greater than 30%, you would select any cancellation percentage under the measure drop down menu and is greater than under the logic menu. Finally for the value you can put either 0.30 or 30% in the value field.

After you set your condition, you can add an email(s) where you would like this alert to be sent. For the frequency, you can select from a variety of time based options and a specific time for the report to be delivered. These can be adjusted at any time based on the needs of the organization.

Scheduled Alerts from Looks

Looks allow you to create specified visualizations/tables and enable you to set Alerts with a variety of options. You can add a name which will provide insight into what is the alert's purpose. Email is the preferred method of delivery for alerts to save time by pulling reporting. The data can be formatted based on 7 different options and any can be selected based on needs of the organization. Looks can be delivered based on a time based schedule at a specified time.

Filters can add criteria for what data is provided in the alert. To add additional insights to alerts, you can set it to only trigger based on the Look producing or not producing data. This allows you to only be notified on the predetermined schedule if the Look meets your criteria which reduces time .
